About Me

Lee in New Zealand

I’m Lee. I’m a 27 year old guy who loves anything to do with the outdoors, especially getting away from the city and out into nature for a few days. Hiking, climbing, canyoning, caving, name any outdoor activity and I would have given it a shot.

You may notice that this site is lacking a bit of content right now, but don’t stress! Please if you have any questions about hiking The Overland Track, from transport to and from the walk to what gear you should bring, then send me an email and I will gladly help you out now. Hey, you will be even helping with adding content to the site!

I also run an outdoor gear shop too. I love helping people with their passions, and help them discover new ones that thy never thought of. It’s always great to see someone else get excited about the outdoors and I love passing on my knowledge to them. It’s what led me to building this site.

When I first started planning for The Overland Track I didn’t realise how difficult it would be to plan, even though I considered myself quite experienced already. The fact was there was little information on the internet. I had most of it down packed, but I really struggled on some specifics with transport and food planning.

I give this information out for free everyday at work, and love doing it, so I’m here to just spread my audience from my workplace to the rest of the world. I hope you find this site useful and if you have any questions, or just want to say hi, hit me up on Facebook or Twitter, or just send me an email at lee*overlandtrackguide.com (replacing the * with an @) or use the contact form.
